How it works

Sync lyrics to music without a timeline

  1. 01

    Paste your lyrics.

One line per line you want on screen. No lyrics handy? Leave the box empty and the song is transcribed first.

  2. 02

    Add the song.

Drop the MP3, WAV or M4A. Each pasted word is found in the vocal and gets its own start and end time.

  3. 03

    Pick a style, export.

3 styles play side by side, in sync. Pick one, fix any word, and download an MP4 in 16:9 or 9:16.

Typical time from upload to a playable preview: under a minute.

From lyrics to video, without a timeline

The usual way to put lyrics on a video is by hand: one caption per line, dragged along a timeline until it matches the vocal, then checked again because it starts half a second early. Auto-caption tools in video editors help a little, but they're built for speech. On a full song they often skip whole verses or add music-note symbols you have to delete.

This lyrics to video generator starts from the words you already have. You paste the lyrics and upload the song, and forced alignment finds each word in the audio. Because the words are known, it doesn't mishear them. You get a finished lyric video back, in 3 styles, without touching a timeline. For every other way in, start from the lyric video generator.

What the lyrics to video AI does

AI does two jobs here, both about timing and taste. If you leave the lyrics empty, a speech model writes out what's sung. A forced-alignment model gives every word a start and end time, and a language model picks 3 styles for the song's mood and tempo. Nothing in the frame is generated: the look is type, motion and your own cover art.

What you can change after the lyrics are in

  • Words. Click any word to fix a typo. The timing stays.
  • Lines. Split or join lines to control what's on screen at once.
  • Timing. If one line is off (usually a dense, loud part), Re-sync line re-times only that line.
  • Look. Pick one of 3 suggested styles or any other in the library, then change fonts, colors and motion.

Karaoke lyrics, word by word, or line by line

Lyrics can appear in a few ways. Karaoke style fills each word with color as it's sung, which works for sing-alongs. Word by word brings each word in on its beat, which suits rap and fast verses. Line by line fades whole lines in, which reads calmly on ballads. All three use the same word timing, so you can switch without re-syncing.

Need to put lyrics on video you already shot?

Today this tool makes the video for you from the song. It doesn't take a video file as a background yet. If the footage is the point, an editor like CapCut or Premiere is the better tool for now, and you place the lines by hand. Your own footage as a background is on the roadmap.

Lyrics to video FAQ

How do I turn lyrics into a video?

Paste the lyrics into LyricVideoGenerator and upload the song. Every word is aligned to the vocal and you get 3 styles to pick from, with no timeline. Export free at 720p in 16:9, or in 1080p and 9:16 for $9 per song.

Is there a free lyrics to video generator?

Yes. This one exports unlimited 720p 16:9 videos for free, with a small corner badge and a 2.5-second end card. No card or account is needed to try. 1080p, 9:16 and no badge are $9 per song or $12 a month.

Can I turn lyrics into a video without the song?

No. The timing comes from the vocal, so the tool needs the audio. If you only have lyrics, make the song first, for example in Suno, then paste the Suno link and add the MP3.

Can I add lyrics to a song without typing them?

Yes. Leave the lyrics empty and the song is transcribed first. Pasted lyrics are more accurate, so if you have them written down anywhere, paste them.

Can I put lyrics on my own video clip?

Not yet. Today the visuals are typography and optional cover art. If you need lyrics over your own footage, a video editor like CapCut or Premiere is the better tool for now. Video background upload is planned.

How do I make the lyrics appear word by word?

Choose a word-by-word or karaoke style, or type "one word at a time" in the director box. Every word already has its own timing, so the change is instant.

Why do auto captions miss lyrics in songs?

Most auto-caption tools are trained on speech, not singing over instruments. They miss sustained notes, harmonies and fast verses. Aligning lyrics you provide avoids that because the tool doesn't have to recognize the words, only find them.

What file types can I upload?

MP3, WAV and M4A, up to 50 MB, which covers a full-length song at high quality. Exports are MP4 (H.264), ready for YouTube, TikTok and Instagram.
